The short answer is yes, MRCOOL does offer ceiling cassettes for their mini splits. In 2022, MRCOOL introduced these ceiling mounted air handlers with their DIY series of products. These units are compatible with the DIY 4th generation condensers and come in a variety of sizes: 9K, 12K, and 18K BTU (British Thermal Units).

Simple Installation Process:

Like all of MRCOOL's DIY 4th generation mini splits, the MRCOOL ceiling cassettes offer a simple do-it-yourself installation process. They have a ductless design, which fits between standard 16" ceiling joists and pre-manufactured I-joists, and offer all the installation parts and tools you need. 

Mix and Match Capability:

An advantage of all DIY 4th generation mini splits is their ability to mix and match ceiling-mounted and wall-mounted air handlers connected to the same condenser. This provides you with the opportunity to pick and choose how you cool each room, and gives you the flexibility to design your space the way you want to. 

Easy Maintenance:

With the MRCOOL DIY ceiling cassettes, you can easily maintain your unit and make sure it is operating at its best. These systems offer easy filter replacement, and they can be quickly cleaned with the MRCOOL Care Kit. 

Built-In Condensate Pump:

To help remove the collected condensation from running the mini split, MRCOOL has included a built-in condensate pump. This is standard in the ceiling cassette air handlers, but must be purchased and installed separately in the wall-mounted units.
