Industrial HVLS Fans

Industrial HVLS Fans

MRCOOL CoolBlade Industrial HVLS Fans

Big Spaces.
Better Air Circulation.

Bring broad, steady airflow to your facility with MRCOOL CoolBlade HVLS fans. Available in 16-foot and 24-foot diameters, these industrial ceiling fans move large volumes of air at low rotational speeds to improve comfort in open commercial and industrial spaces.

Airflow Across Open Spaces

Large blades create circulation suited to warehouses, production areas, gyms, and other expansive interiors.

Permanent Magnet Motor

The permanent magnet motor and variable speed control let you adjust airflow to suit the space.

Simple Digital Controls

Push-button speed adjustment and a digital display put everyday fan operation within easy reach.

High Volume. Low Speed.

What Is an HVLS Fan?

HVLS stands for high-volume, low-speed. These fans use a large blade span to move air across a broad area without the high rotational speed of a smaller fan.

Moving air helps people feel cooler by supporting heat loss from the body. In conditioned buildings, well-planned circulation can also help distribute air through occupied areas.

A fan does not refrigerate the air, remove moisture, or supply fresh outdoor air on its own. Use it alongside the heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment your building needs.

Built for Facility Use

Industrial Construction & Protection

CoolBlade fans feature reinforced magnesium alloy blades, aerodynamic winglets, and an integrated motor bracket.

Safety features include a steel wire safety rope, an anti-falling expansion sleeve, electrical overload protection, and a locking control box with an emergency stop.

Correct mounting and installation remain essential to safe operation.

Choose around the layout—not just the floor area. Ceiling height, mounting position, shelving, equipment, partitions, and the areas people occupy all influence airflow. A larger fan needs more unobstructed space and a structure suitable for its load.

Sizing & Installation Questions

How do I choose the right diameter?

Provide your installer with the building dimensions, ceiling height, mounting structure, and locations of obstructions. Compare both fan sizes against the manual’s installation diagram and clearances before deciding. Larger or divided facilities may need several fans positioned around their occupied areas.

What should I check above the fan?

Review beams, lights, ducts, sprinklers, cranes, and any other equipment near the blade sweep or mounting assembly. Your installer must verify structural support, all required clearances, and any applicable fire-protection requirements.

Read the Installation & Owner’s Manual

Can an HVLS fan replace air conditioning?

A fan can improve comfort through moving air, but it does not lower air temperature through refrigeration. If your space needs a controlled temperature or moisture removal, it also needs appropriately selected cooling equipment.

Who should install the fan?

MRCOOL requires installation and maintenance by professionally trained or experienced personnel with electrical certifications. The mounting assembly, safety cables, controller, and electrical connections must be installed according to the model’s manual.

Is it suitable for every industrial environment?

No. The manual prohibits operation in freezing, corrosive, explosive, or severely dusty environments. Review the actual site conditions before specifying a fan, particularly in facilities with dust-producing processes or corrosive materials.

Need Help Comparing Fan Sizes?

Send MRCOOL HVAC Supply your building dimensions, ceiling height, mounting structure, and photos of the installation area. We can help you compare the 16-foot and 24-foot options with your installer.
