This is truly a do it yourself product. There are plenty of videos and written literature out there to help you. This unit replaced an old broken noisy “wall shaker” . Now our chill room has us thinking about MrCooling the rest of our house.
Great system for the DIY guy, was able to save thousands of dollars by installing this myself. Fast shipping, easy to install and fired right up. Installation manual could use a refresh, a couple of items I had questions about but was able to get quick answers from MrCool tech support. So far great system......hoping it stands the test of time.
Fantastic! Easy! Works better than expected and I have just orderd another unit for my warehouse.
These units are better than anticipated! I installed them with ease and slept like a baby once installed. Best purchase you can make!!
Love the Mr. Cool. Don’t know why I waited so long. My future garages will ALWAYS have AC from now on.
Cools the den down beautifully. It even covers other areas of the house making the house AC redundant for a few hours... and saving on electricity.
Everything arrived complete and in good condition. A little confusion with the trucking company communication but no big deal. Was able to get the entire system installed and working in less than 2 weeks with 2 people working in the evening and on the weekend. Great system, terrible documentation. Lots of videos online-recommend using those. They were a big help. All-in-all very happy with it so far. Very quiet and cools very well. Saved a lot of money doing all the work ourselves.
Nice unit. Due to the configuration of my house it ended up being a lot more work than I'd anticipated (I'm a retired power plant electrician, so I've installed a lot of different equipment). Somehow I must have ordered the 25 foot line set instead of the 16' which left me with a lot more tubing than I needed. Wrapping all that refrigeration line with the nylon tape was...um...interesting.The instruction manual (it came with an apparently outdated manual, since the download version is more accurate) is not great (the drawing said to drill a 2.5" hole through the wall, but the sleeve that is installed through was 3.5" so had to be enlarged and couldn't use a hole saw after the first hole had been drilled). Eventually it all went together, though, and the result is really nice.
Perfect upgrade to my existing gas furnace. Blows COLD air and is whisper quiet. I am fairly handy but not a professional by any means. A little bit of YouTube university made this a very reasonable DIY install.
Install was easy and straight forward. Have some communication issues between the condenser and head units. Working with tech services.
Excellent system, as advertised it’s DIY system that anyone could install. Couldn’t be happier with the final result,
Was easy to install. Did electrical prep work ahead of install made it go faster. I now have cool air blowing right above my work bench were I stand.
Overall good. But instruction manual is flawed. Says to install upper brace, including bolts first. But when installed in the brace, the bolts prevent you from installing the vertical brackets. I had to unscrew the outer bolts to get the brackets installed. Easy enough to unscrew the bolts, install the brackets and then reinstall the bolts but it sure looks to me like the manual describes an incorrect sequence. Recommend reviewing and updating the manual.
This was the best investment for a basement roprovide dependable heat and air conditioning. Just had to add a 2x6 approx 3ft to the existing floor joist and put the unit up and it fit perfect! Love the slim design and it almost disappears with the ceiling tile.
Everything went fine
Seems to be working out well
The unit came with a 25 foot line set
As I only needed 15 it would have cost me more to replace it with a 15 I decided to purchase an additional line set cover rather then coiling-up the excess behind the unit
I over think everything but overall I’m very impressed with the installation and everything is working perfectly.
Not a DIY but very easy install for anyone with vacuum pump and gauges. The only complaint I have is not with the unit but the shipping company. The box had been hit on the valve end and the plastic valve cover was broken. Maybe someone will actually read this and send me a replacement piece. Fingers crossed but not holding my breath.
First time bringing up a multi zone system took a bit of a learning curve, but all good. One suggestion that I might make is your team should do videos on all your systems so the DIY installers have another method of reviewing what’s required inregards to installation and a startup process.
I didn’t realize that the heat source took a while before it actually started producing heat, but works great. that confuse me for a while. l ended up doing additional troubleshooting that wasn’t necessary.
That’s why I recommend a video for your customers but thanks. Great product!!
I am beyond happy with the service I have received from you guys. Joe has talked me through so much and has been incredibly helpful. I'm so glad I with you.
