Why invest in a heat kit?
Electric heat strips, or heat kits, serve as supplementary or secondary heat sources integrated within the air handler. Often likened to a "large blow dryer," the heat kit effectively channels heating output into the ducts. Their primary function is during emergency situations when the heat pump is temporarily inoperative or when external temperatures drop significantly. Although heat kits are less energy efficient compared to heat pumps, they are essential for short-term use when needed.
